Where to Go, Where to Stay!
There is a lot to the McLaren Vale Wine District - Wineries, sure, but so much more. SAeBikes work closely with providers in the area and our bikes are available directly from, or through, many. Our bikes are available from The Visitor Information Centre, Oxenberry Farm, Gemtree Wines and Ortus Wines.
We are often asked to recommend "good places to visit" and our answer is always the same "it depends on your mood, what you want to drink, what you want to eat, what view you want". There is no 'typical' McLaren Vale winery or restaurant, there is no 'typical' McLaren Vale experience.
McLaren Vale and Fleurieu Visitor Information Centre | A great place to start your visit to the region. Gemtree Wines | You will find Gemtree Wines at 167 Elliott Road McLaren Flat. Relax on the deck, immerse yourself in a personalised guided Tasting Experience and take in unparalleled views of our vineyards and beyond to the sea. With a large open lawn area to enjoy in spring and summer, and heating on the deck for autumn and winter, it’s always a perfect time to visit. The Gemtree Tasting Room is open 7 days from 11am – 5pm (excluding Good Friday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day).

Ortus Wines | Paige and Julie welcome you to their cellar door on Main Road, just outside of Willunga. They can’t wait to host you in a warm and friendly space and introduce you to their fabulous range of wines.
